Plan To Freeze Fukushima Leak

The operator, Tokyo Electric Power Company, of Japan’s stricken nuclear power plant, plans to build ‘a frozen earth barrier’ one mile long and 82 feet deep to prevent the 400 tonnes of ground water which flow daily through the stricken reactors en route to the sea from becoming radioactive, BUT – Plan To Freeze Fukushima Fails – A Tepco spokesman said that fluctuating water levels in a tunnel under No.2 reactor building were preventing the water from freezing.
